This is a card I made yesterday as an easel style fold, this style seems to be quite popular at the moment. The base card is 8x8 and the colour scheme is pinks and browns as if you haven't already guessed, well it's more like what I would describe as marshmallow colours. The image is a Whiff of Joy stamp and I used my nesties for the layers, the text stamp was a freebie on a mag sometime last year I think. Now I'm off to try and make some more in different colours, well that would be the plan :)

Well what do you Know??? here is a pic of my first scrapbook page that I was shall we just say prompted to make at work on Saturday by my Brilliant at scrap booking Boss for a class that will be coming in February. Heather gave me the layout and I chose the colours that complimented the photo (pale greens, lilacs, white and I added in the silver)

Hello Blog land, at last I was able to get back to work last week and surprisingly the ladies on the Thursday class all made it in to the shop, so glad were they to be back to crafting once more, aren't we all I hear you cry!

This is a card I made whilst at work on Saturday and it is on the class list in the near future, I took my inspiration from a card shown in this months Craft Stamper mag, using the Distress ink pads, Archival black and an Impress ink pad, lace trim on the edges of the card and the tag, bo bunny 12 x 12 background paper and a set of new stamps that I can't for the life of me remember so I will add this in later when I get home from work, almost forgot to mention that I made the frame using the mandala board.

Went out to leave some food for the dozens of little birdies that have been buzzing about, they all left rather quickly except for this little chap who sat in the tree and watched my every move. I think he wanted to be first in the que, not daft is he, although he did turn his back on me when I took his photo.

Here is a photo from work of another up and coming class in the new Year, I used the Nature set of stamps from U-Mount and some of the Cosmic Shimmer Mica powders.

Inside there is a matching book mark. I enjoyed making this card, the photo doesn't do it justice even if I say so myself :)

Good morning, going to work today and this is the last week for classes at the shop. You know when you are trying to sort yourself out, drying your hair etc, and you find that you have got someone watching your every move competing for space in the mirror, well this is the competition little miss Tibby who sat in front of the mirror while I was trying to get ready this morning. I think she wanted my attention as it was her biscuit time. Just give the cat what she wants and she will let you get on, so I did and now I'm having a bad hair day!

OH MY G !! is it 4 weeks since I last posted can't believe it! well I have been off work with the flu although I didn't see any little pigs flying, and the last few weeks have been really busy at work, Heather my boss and I have planned all the classes for January thank goodness that they are done now and are all nearly fully booked I have to say, oh gosh that means we will have to start on the classes for February (all good fun) heck no! it's work don't you know, a serious business of planning and making samples, checking out all the new goodies I mean testing the new products for the sake of all our lovely customers, after all that's what it is all about keeping our customers happy.
I suppose at this point I could show you a couple of pics I took at work last week of the cards I made for the first class when we start back in January, I have used one of the Sugar Nellie stamps she is called Flower Girl. We have a range of theses stamps in the shop, all of them sooooo cute! If you click on the Crafty Addicts Blog in my list you can see some more pics from other classes.

What a complete hassle thanks to good old BT, I have through no fault of my own had no internet for the past two weeks, don't get me started about them as they just make my blood boil. Let us leave that subject well alone now, here is a very quick card I made for my daughter's friend. I just used the butterfly peel-offs and sakura pens to colour in and to doodle on to the black card. I have also put some glossy accents on the butterfly. Oh! but it is good to be back!!!

I forgot to mention that the sky background was a glimmer mist, the tree stamps are from a set by Woodware and the ink pads are from Tim Holtz, a punch for the leaves and the sentiment was a mag freebie! It works for me.....:) maybe not every one's cup of tea.

Wednesday already in yet another flying by week! and this is a card I finished a couple of weeks ago, seems that I must have fallen asleep somewhere in between then and now as I am just getting around to remembering I made it, in fact I made it for someone in mind...(it's my age you know!) lol.

The background of the card I have stamped on one side and the other is a paper from the Card Making mag, the main image I have made a background onto white card using the Sakura Bruynzeel Super point pens and added a hint of Ranger Distress ink (Dusty Concord). The stamped images are Personal Impression stamps by Lindsay Mason and Versafine black ink highlighted with just a little Stickles glitter glue (Star Dust). All that's needed is a sentiment or greeting.

Once again we are back to Monday, dull and a little wet, what else is new.

Here is a card I made at work on Saturday morning, I enjoyed making it so much that I just had to buy the set of stamps. It's like outdoors on a windy day and the images are so cute. The background is a Glimmer mist and the trees are stamped in a Ranger distress ink pad. The little girl and the umbrella is stamped in Versafine black and I coloured them with Zig brushables and a damp paint brush. I finished off with some small punched shapes (leaves and flowers), and the grass was just green paper. The stamps are Ollyfant, a range from Kars. Well it's Friday once again! where do the weeks go? Here is a card I made at work which we did in a class last Friday evening at the shop. A good time was had by all, we started at 7p.m. and left for home around 10.0clock. A big thank you to all of the ladies who came along, they all said how much they loved the card and enjoyed themselves. *We aim to Please*

The card is 8x8 smooth white 300gms which we sell in the shop and is a lovely card to work with. The background was created by using Versafine and Brilliance ink pads, and the stamps are the Retro Flowers by Elusive Images, (also available in the shop). Sunday13th September. It was craft fayre day at Haigh Hall so I took a couple of snaps of our table just as we had finished setting up. Janet (my buddy) and I support this event throughout the year, as I have already mentioned before. People don't always realize that charities like this need as much support as they can get and the carers at Derrian House do such a great job of looking after the children.

Five Things I Like To Do !

1 Crafting...It goes without saying, but crafting with others who enjoy it just as much as I do is a great pleasure.

2 I luv my stamps so using them and buying more to use.

3 Using my computer and keeping up to date with everything in blog land.

4 Spending time eating out with family and friends.

5 I have to include my job because I work in a craft shop and we have such a good time especially on class days, all the ladies are so nice and such fun.

This card I made for my daughter who turned the grand old age of twenty at the end of last month, it is 8"x 8" square card with pink glitter card and an acetate overlay onto which I have put the peel-off flowers coloured in by Sakura gold and silver shadow pens and a damp paint brush. The idea came from a class we had at work that my boss Heather designed, thanks boss for that! This is another work in progress in the same style as the last one only this time I have used the Rambling Rose stamp set from U-mount onto plain smooth card however the roses in the centre have been stamped onto watercolour card stock. If you click on the picture and it enlarges you will see that I have sprayed with pearl glimmer mist it gives a lovely effect. I thought this might make a good special occasion card but I'm not sure which occasion, anyone got any suggestions?

My nephew also got married last month down in Oxford but we couldn't go so I made them a card of course and sent it with my sis. A great day was had by all, they had a barn dance for their reception held no less in a barn on a farm, very posh and upmarket I have to add as my sis and her hubby provided 40 boxes of dinnerware for the guests to eat from...How about that, whats wrong with paper plates? I ask you! The card is A4 landscape and I used ice gold on white for the base card, and ice gold on gold for the centre panel. The large corner stamps are from Umount stamped in Brilliance ink, and the butterflies are from a set of stamps by Wendy Rhodes, stamped & embossed in black powder.

I know that their photographer has written copyright on the front of the book of proofs, but I did pay for the book and I will be buying this photo as I love it, I think it is one of my favorites although there are several more just as good.

Well Well Well, Oh dear me, what goes on in that little metal box better known as my computer?

Me thinks there be a Trojan at work, might need to get a computer doctor to make it better.

As I have not been able to update my blog for so long I think I should make the most of it while it seems to be letting me play, don't hold one's breath!!!

My son got married some time ago and I have now finally have in my possession the wedding photo proofs so this is a photo of a photo so to speak, it shows off my daughter-in-law's wedding dress you just don't see all the crystals that are on it.

Well what do you know, something almost finished just can't decide what is missing maybe it just needs a greeting? Oh well I'll figure it out later. This card I made last night out of acetate and a couple of butterfly peel-offs coloured in with Lumocolor permanent marker pens. Hard to get a good image as the flash reflects on the acetate just like mirror card. As there is no inside of the card to speak of I have used a cream card on the back left blank. It's one way to use up all those peel-offs.

Everyone seemed to like it when they had finished, one lady in particular came back into the shop the following day and bought more of the items we used, she wanted to go home and make the card again.

It always gives you that feel good factor when you have shown your customers something they appreciate.

*** Good morning to all*** I have finally got going again at the weekend and about time too!Once more the dining table is adorned with crafting essentials and things look back to normal, well for a crafter anyway. I have made this card for one of my best friends who celebrated her 50th birthday at the weekend, Happy Birthday Janet (half a century) how time flies. We have known each other from when we started school at 4 years old and have stayed good friends ever since. I chose to do one of the Big & Beautiful floral decoupage for her as that is what Janet likes to do (decoupage is her thing). I hoped she liked it, not too much fuss, just plain and simple.

AT LAST finally back from what seems like forever without my Internet connection, we moved house a couple of weeks ago and it has taken this long to sort it all out! HOORAY!!!! Now I just have to find all my crafting goodies then I might even make a card, lol.

Just a very plain and simple square card, the stamp is one of Lavinia's and I just love this image, she is so beautiful. I just added some stickles glitter glue and also some liquid pearls. The flowers I just dotted around they are from my embellishments stash that I have had for some time

My granfather came from Ireland so I guess there is just a little bit of the Irish in me, although my father came from Holland so I don't know what that makes me, possibly double dutch! lol....Ha! As you can see I like to use my glimmer mists, this card is made from a set of stamps by Elusive Images and I just love them, so different don't you think. The castle is from the faeries and unicorn stamp set.

If you can't read the text it say's Meddle Not in the Affairs of Dragons for you are Crunchy and taste good with Ketchup ....cool!!!

This is an 8x8 card made from A3 white hammered card, the background paper is out of a Docrafts goodies bag my sister Irene got me for my last birthday and I have added some red flower crystals. The mirror card has die cut ribbon on it, both in a gold colour and of course the most important bit the butterflies are heat embossed onto a glimmer misted background

This is a card I had in my stash, but not any longer. My daughter asked yesterday evening as she was about to
go out and I had just arrived home from work, if I had a card for a 60th birthday to give to her boyfriends (Liam) uncle. What!!! I said, just like that? She replied I will pay you later OK! I had to look through all of my finished cards and the only one I found suitable was this one.
Made with a Dreamweaver Stencil (bare trees I think it's called) and embossing paste, coloured with cosmic shimmer mica powders. The stamped leaves are from a set of Rubbadubbadoo stamps.
Don't think I should hold my breath waiting for payment! do you?

Back to work this afternoon, we have a class on they are making a tall bottle celebration card in a box, if I can remember to take my camera I will snap some photo's and post them later...
I have started on some new cards but can't seem to get any of them finished, maybe it will happen on Sunday

Here is another one the same size. I stamped and embossed the butterflies onto a glimmer misted background. The tree was stamped in Stazon ink and the small butterflies are from a punch. I added some ice white pearl pen to the tree and large butterflies for a bit of texture.

I made this 8x8 card last week using a A3 card stock, just added a background paper and made the topper using the trees theme plate from Elusive Images and some different coloured inkpads. I added some satin ribbon and of course a couple of crystals..

This was a book-a-trix card I made for someone, they wanted a Christening card.

I used shades of pink cardstock, silver mirri card, and I made the bunny

from fantasy fibers. Sorry it's a rubbish photo, a bit blurry, it was taken with my old camera but I have a new one now.

Good Morning! Day two.
Sat in front of my computer playing instead of doing that boring old house work, Oh well.
I have to make a sympathy card today for one of my best friends who's father-in-law has just passed away.
Don't particularly like to make this type of card, never know what to say, and then I have to go to work. Better get a move on then don't want to be late as we have a class on this afternoon. It is called a 3D suprise card and we will be using the fairies and unicorn stamps from Elusive Images plus the glimmer mists (my favorite product at this moment in time by far), although I am warming towards the new Slice by Making Memories, Saw it in action at the trade show this Sunday just gone, guess what? want one!..
